Day 0: Suffern, NY
Rental car a bust. They called 2 hrs to closing to tell me they have no vans. But they had a Ford Explorer, smaller than my Enclave. No thanks.
Dogs were delivered to Dave near Orangeburg, NY. Great guy, lots of land, dogs cared for. Good times.
I finished packing at 10PM of course after the house was quiet :) Then I couldn't sleep until 12:30AM because Watson was talking to friends. Finally asleep to be woken up by fire alarm. It wasn't chirping because of a dead battery. It was actually going off. That was until I broke the pin in the back and disabled it. We smelled nor saw anything. Maybe we'll be fine by morning.
We were fine. Hopefully the house will be fine after we leave.
Can't help but think this was all par for the course.
ReplyDeleteIs it a smoke/carbon monoxide alarm? Make sure you don’t have a gas leak when you return.
